Lexington, KY – November 19, 2009 – CLARK Material Handling Company, a supporter of many community outreach programs and nonprofit organizations including the Lexington Humane Society, is proud to introduce its Paw Printed Pallet Jack. This pallet truck is being donated to the Lexington Humane Society in support of its annual Beastie Ball silent auction to raise money for the care & feeding of the 700 animals currently at the shelter. In addition, the shelter provides spay/neuter surgeries to families that otherwise cannot afford to alter their pet, provides shelter to thousands of homeless animals, and provides necessary medical care from an on-site, full time veterinarian. In addition to donating the Paw Printed Pallet Jack, CLARK has supported the organization by sponsoring its annual Mutt Putt Golf Scramble, and CLARK employees have volunteered at many local events.
CLARK employees oversee the work of their Corporate Donations and Philanthropy Committee. CLARK’s mission is to build the best forklift in the world while planting seeds of goodwill along the way. CLARK will continue to fulfill this mission by providing support to organizations, projects and initiatives that reflect the goals and values of our company and improve the quality of life in the communities where we work and live.
Dennis Lawrence, CLARK’s President & CEO, commented that “CLARK is proud to support the Lexington Humane Society by donating a unique pallet jack that helps to generate donations to aid the organization in accomplishing its mission. Being a good corporate citizen is part of our corporate identity and by supporting organizations like the Humane Society, we are able to give back to our community.”
