Lexington, KY – June 1, 2017
CLARK Material Handling Company will again focus its support on the Industrial Truck Association’s June 13th edition of “National Forklift Safety Day.” This is the fourth year in a row that CLARK, which celebrated its Centennial birthday May 17th, will open its doors to the community to help raise awareness to the importance of forklift safety and proper operator training. The program is open to the community and will begin at 11:30 at CLARK’s Lexington campus located at 700 Enterprise Drive.
A full schedule of events planned to endorse and promote National Forklift Safety Day include:
- An open house including plant tours at 11:45AM and 12:30PM
- Visit by Officer Don and his helicopter
- “Live with Lee Cruse” remote broadcast
- “Lift Truck Rodeo” competition and safety demonstrations
- A display of aftermarket safety products
- Local media coverage including a live radio remote by 98.1 FM ‘The Bull’, WBUL
- Free lunch – prepared by Smokin’ Jax Grill courtesy of CLARK
- Door prizes
During the week of June 12 – 16 CLARK will be hosting “Train the Trainer” safety class at its North American Headquarters. CLARK is donating this class to 15 area businesses to ensure that their facility operators are properly instructed on the safe use of forklift trucks.
In addition to the activities in Lexington, CLARK executives will participate with the Industrial Truck Association (ITA) National Forklift Safety Day events taking place June 14 in Washington, D.C. This event features several keynote speakers from the ITA, OSHA as well as visits with elected officials on Capitol Hill. During these visits, CLARK representatives, will stress the importance of operator training in the work place and the positive economic impact that CLARK has in the Lexington and surrounding community.
