LEXINGTON, KY – July 21, 2010 – CLARK Material Handling Company today announced the appointment of  Scott Johnson  to Vice President of Business Development, effective immediately.

In this position Scott will continue to direct all Dealer Services, Dealer Development and Government Sales activities as well as develop and coordinate new business opportunities in North America to ensure Clark’s  continued market share and profit growth.

An employee of CLARK since 1995, Scott formerly served as the company’s Eastern Regional Sales Manager, Aftermarket Sales and Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing and Director of Dealer Services. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from  the University of Kentucky and resides in Lexington with his wife Amy and children, Wiles and Sarah.

Scott has been instrumental in CLARK’s appointment of a number of new, strong distributors to its dealer network in North America and in strengthening the bond between CLARK dealers and CLARK.  He has played a significant role in improving the company’s overall ITA reporting and CLARK’s Government Sales business has increased significantly under his leadership.

Scott is an active member of the statistics committee of the Industrial Truck Association (ITA) and also represents the company in the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA).  Scott’s continued participation in these organizations ensures that CLARK remains a visible entity in the material handling community.
